Rayna Campos, DVM

Dr. Campos began her professional journey with an undergraduate degree in Accounting from the University of New Orleans in 2003, but her love for animals and inspiration from her childhood equine veterinarian, Dr. Chapman, guided her toward a career in veterinary medicine. With years of experience in caring for animals of all sizes, she has become a trusted name in the field, providing exceptional care to pets and their families.

Growing up in Terrytown, LA, Dr. Campos cultivated her love for animals through hands-on experiences with horses and other pets. Today, she finds the human-animal bond to be one of the most fulfilling aspects of her work, striving to treat every patient as if they were part of her own family.

Dr. Campos is a proud member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Florida Parishes Veterinary Medical Association, the American Association of Equine Practitioners, and the Southeast Louisiana Veterinary Association. She also holds USDA accreditation, allowing her to provide a wide range of services to her clients.

Outside of work, Dr. Campos enjoys riding her quarter horse, Forrest, spending time with her pony, Gump, and cherishing moments with her two toy poodles, Mandi and Rikki. When she’s not caring for animals, you can find her enjoying live music and creating memories with family and friends. Her passion for veterinary medicine and commitment to excellence make her an invaluable asset to the Gretna community.

Woman Laying on Grass with Dog

“I love animals and feel very strongly that people should not be allowed to buy a pet if they are not able to look after it. Until one has loved an animal, a part of one’s soul remains unawakened.”
